Nazca People
In Southeastern Peru - there's a place called Nazca, which is encircled by desert. The Nazca people lived in this desert from 300 BC to 800 AD. They built underground aqueducts to deliver their town with water. The Nazca people were believed to be advanced for their time due to these aqueducts.
There is plenty to see in Nazca, whether or not you are a tourist or plan to head to Peru. One thing to see would be the Nazca Lines. Nobody really knows why these lines were made. They're complicated shapes and life forms which can only be seen from the sky, and are carved into a 50-mile area.
Cahuachi is a ceremonial city that's about 15 square miles. This town has a graveyard with exposed mummies in their crypts - which can on occasion be seen in the ground. Cahuachi surrounds pyramids, churches and platforms that many think were used for sacrifices. Some of the pyramids are so high that some of the Nazca lines can be seen from the tops.
If you stay or visit the Nazca Hotel - be certain to go to the Maria Reiche planetarium, which is located within the hotel. The planetarium is named after Maria Reiehe: who spent the good part of 50 years studying the Nazca Lines. You might also visit the Antonini Museum, which was built on July 7th in 1999, it's got more than 300 ancient pieces from all around Nazca.

The monastery is walled in with several different areas. It's got a washing and kitchen together with streets and other places which are all attractive and amazing.
